Fast and efficient onboarding process: Mittelweser Tiefbau GmbH
The Mittelweser Tiefbau GmbH is a family-run company based in Coesweg with sites in Anhalt and Ascheberg. With over 150 employees, the company specializes in heavy earthworks, including dyke construction, renaturation, supplying pipelines for gas and water, cable construction and deep drainage. The company’s fleet comprises around 500 machines and devices, which are in daily use on various construction sites.
What were the challenges?
As an established company, Mittelweser Tiefbau GmbH was faced with the challenge of making its operating processes more efficient. Chris Immoor, Scheduler at Mittelweser Tiefbau GmbH, explains: “Before the introduction of digital systems, we had a rather primitive approach: machine hours were recorded manually on paper, entered into systems, printed out and re-entered into a system.”

Introduction of the syniotec's telematic boxes
The collaboration with syniotec began through a trade fair contact, which quickly led to the conclusion of a contract. syniotec delivered the ordered telematics boxes directly to the headquarters of Mittelweser Tiefbau GmbH in Warpe. syniotec’s technicians came to the company for around two days and trained the staff on how to install them. Chris Immoor says: “We had tested several systems, but syniotec’s portfolio impressed us with its clarity and user-friendliness. Now we can install 10 to 20 trackers a day ourselves.”

Advantages of telematics integration with SAM
Thanks to the use of telematics and the SAM software Mittelweser Tiefbau now has an improved overview of its machine fleet thanks to syniotec. “By using syniotec trackers, we can already save a lot of time because we can directly localize the machines and equipment we need in SAM. We can also use the operating hours to check whether everything is running properly. In the future, we plan to link our stored cost centers to the system so that construction site billing can be automated.”
The company plans to map its entire machine database via SAM. “It will be used to carry out inspections, including TÜV inspections, and will serve as a comprehensive machine file. Our workshop foreman and I will then work exclusively with this system,” says Immorr afterwards.
Thanks to syniotec, Mittelweser Tiefbau GmbH has successfully taken the step towards digital transformation. The benefits of the digital solutions are clear: more efficient operational processes, more precise resource planning and significant time savings. The company is optimistic about the future and looks forward to further developments in its digital infrastructure.
