Initial Situation and Challenge

Before partnering with syniotec, Winkler had difficulty documenting the management and maintenance of its equipment in a structured manner. The company faced the challenge of organizing work processes efficiently and ensuring compliance with the necessary accident prevention regulations (UVV) and maintenance routines without relying on paper files and scattered documents.

Solution Provided by SAM

With the introduction of SAM (Smart Asset Manager), Winkler was able to significantly improve the coordination and deployment of its machinery and resources. SAM provides a centralized platform for machinery and construction site management, making it easier to efficiently manage all construction projects.

Real-time transparency and the intuitive user interface ensure that site managers and foremen always have a clear overview of the current status of the construction site. The system enables Winkler to make faster and more targeted decisions, saving valuable time and resources.

Telematics and Perspectives

Winkler has already switched from its previous provider to syniotec’s telematics components in order to improve scheduling and equipment billing. This transition allows Winkler to monitor the condition of its machines more precisely while automating the billing process. Lars Keller explains: “We have already installed the location transmitters in many machines and have even been able to recover stolen machines.” Thanks to the collaborative partnership and syniotec’s ability to tailor the system to Winkler’s specific needs, the company is able to continuously develop and optimize its processes.

Further Expansion and Long-Term Vision

“syniotec is a young startup that’s open to our requirements and suggestions,” says Keller about the collaboration. “This allowed us to actively participate in the development of the software.” Thanks to the flexibility and integration of various functions in SAM, Winkler now has a comprehensive solution for construction machinery and equipment management that can be easily adapted to the company’s specific processes.
Winkler plans to further expand the system in the future and fully document all employee qualifications in SAM. “The goal is to centrally manage and regularly update our employees’ qualifications, such as first-aid training and traffic safety certifications.” This further development underscores Winkler’s vision of becoming a fully digitally organized construction company that prioritizes the highest levels of safety and efficiency.
