Even though the main reason of our CFO Arne’s visit to Georgia was to meet with our syniotec TechHub, he couldn’t miss the breathtaking landscape and the traditional Georgian cuisine. Read here what Arne has experienced!
After a long time, I took the time in July to pay a visit to our TechHub in Tbilisi, Georgia. I met with COO Rezi there, who was already on site. Besides the work, I also wanted to get to know the country better.
Endless landscapes like from a picture book
In Georgia, millennia-old culture meets beautiful mountain landscapes and beaches on the Black Sea. Multifaceted culture meets here the simplest life in the countryside and in the mountains. Scenically, you will experience green mountain ranges, abundance of water and fantastic nature in the great Caucasus Mountains. With Rezi I visited, among other places, the village of Stepanzminda and the famous Trusso Gorge.
With numerous wineries, I remember Kvareli mainly for its special and diverse wine culture. In contrast, in Tbilisi you will experience the vibrant capital, which is also very attractive due to its lively and ancient culture. But more on that in a moment.
I had not expected all this and was absolutely positively surprised. The Georgian cuisine and the hospitality of my host family in Tbilisi also remain special memories. The food is very varied and in addition to common meat dishes, Georgian cuisine scores with a variety of regional vegetables and fruits. In keeping with my experience in Kvareli, wine is almost always and everywhere drunk with all of this. The development of viticulture in Georgia, which dates back more than 8,000 years, is impressive and differs significantly from that in Europe.

Besides the special features of the country, the reason for my visit – and what I enjoyed the most – was the visit to our syniotec TechHub. Founded in 2020, we started with a manageable small team that has since grown to over 20 IT experts. And in such a short time!
We are particularly proud of our TechHub, where SAM is constantly being refined, optimized and new features developed from scratch.
In addition to the technical expertise that I was already able to experience in Germany through the software solutions that were created, I now got to know the people behind them.
With heart and soul and passion, our young team there realizes everything that stands behind our software and thus significantly advances the digitalization of the construction industry. These are all great, dedicated people with great motivation and incredible cohesion. However, I was impressed not only by the team itself, but also by the individual people behind it.
